Failure in airway management still has the biggest impact on mortality and morbidity in patients requiring respiratory support either in the field of anesthesia and intensive care or in emergency medicine, despite the numerous advances made in developing new techniques and strategies or guidelines released in the past years. Airway management in the trauma patient presents numerous unique challenges.
The meeting agenda is comprised of 8 mainstay topics, separated in theory and practical part-hands on workshop.
This full day course will provide an intensive hands-on learning experience with 8 stations covering the most important techniques to secure the airway in the trauma patient with high technology equipment. The course will be run by 8 internationally and 14 nationally well-known experts involved in airway management teaching. Each workshop station has 2 or 3 instructors – an international and a national instructor. The delegates have rotate around eight 30-minute workshop stations in groups
The course fulfills the criteria of the “Advanced airway management course”, according to the requirements of the European Airway Management Society (EAMS). Course is also endorsed from EAMS.
